Air India Limited was acquired by the Tata Group in 2022. Following this transition, Air India envisioned a unified headquarters to consolidate its various offices across India, including dedicated spaces for its low-cost carrier operations, within a single integrated campus.
The project comprises a comprehensive headquarters facility featuring office spaces alongside specialized environments such as an operations command center, experience center, and emergency command center. Delivered as a design-and-build assignment, the development brings together functionality, efficiency, and brand expression.
The design concept draws inspiration from behind-the-scenes operations and ground-level preparations that underpin every successful flight. This narrative is translated into the ground floor experience, creating a welcoming and immersive environment for visitors and users through thoughtful planning, materiality, and textures that subtly reflect aviation processes.
Further inspired by the structure and organization of an aircraft, the workplace design emphasizes streamlined movement and intuitive spatial flow across office floors. Functional zones are carefully contextualized and articulated, celebrating their roles while being enhanced with distinctive design interventions that bring the overall vision to life.
